Spotlight on Spurn

Spurn Point is an iconic place many can see from Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, but it’s not a place many may have visited.  The site is a nature reserve, but it’s also home to man. In 2004, Emma Lingard went to visit the Humber Lifeboat crew who are based there to find out what life was like living on the moving sand spit.  She also spoke to Andrew Gibson, from the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, who manage the reserve, which is also a site of scientific special interest.

Filmed/edited for Channel 7 TV
